CHAMA BOOK FAIR DONATES OVER $1000 IN BOOKS TO THE CHAMA LIBRARY
The Chama Book Fair, co-sponsored by the New Mexico Book Co-op and the Elkhorn Lodge of Chama, has donated over $1000 in new books from New Mexico authors to the Chama Library. The 6th Annual Chama Book Fair will be on June 5 and due to the kind support of Lowe’s Chama, The New Mexico Humanities Council, and many other supporters, the Book Fair is able to feature David Morrell of Santa Fe. Morrell is best known for his Rambo series but has also written many mysteries taking place in New Mexico and books on literature. The donation to the Chama Library will include books by David Morrell.
The Book Fair will take place at Cookin’ Books in Chama on Saturday, June 5, from 11am to 3pm. This is a chance for residents to meet authors and discuss their books. Morrell will also be a part of the Fair and residents are also invited to the film documentary of Rambo and to hear Morrell speak on his writing career and love of New Mexico at Cookin’ Books Friday night, June 4, 7pm. Morrell will also speak at the Elkhorn Lodge Pavilion at 4:30pm on Saturday, June 5. He invites guests to hear “Telling The New Mexico Story”, and all of the influences that have played a part in his work. All events are free.
