New Mexico Books & More

The New Mexico Book Co-op organized and operated a holiday store at the largest mall in New Mexico for 40 days in 2004 and again in 2005. Members of the Co-op volunteered both years to help run the store. The store operated from Thanksgiving until New Years both years.

The Holiday store was a huge success. It helped to promote the available and desirability in local books. Over 5,500 local books were sold in the 80 days the store was open. We also donated all the profits from the store operation to local literacy and library programs, again helping to promote local books. In 2004 and 2005 we donated over $11,000.

The store was filled with local authors and we scheduled over 100 author signing events each year.

New Mexico Books & More Media Coverage
The New Mexico Book Co-op generated over 100 articles in the media, both local and national, as well as radio and tv coverage, for the New Mexico Books & More store at Cottonwood Mall. Here is a sampling of some of that coverage.

New Concept of a Co-op Bookstore in Cottonwood Mall for a Limited Time
