Show Your Books at The National Book Festival


The New Mexico Book Co-op, with the support of the New Mexico state Library, participated in the National Book Festival in Washing, DC in 2006 and 2007. The National Book Festival was held on September 30, 2007 on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Once again, the NM Book Co-op participated in this event which last year featured 100,000 visitors. The NM Book Co-op had a catalog of New Mexico books that was handed out to participants at the National Book Festival; Laura Bush is one of the key supporters of this book festival. In addition to distribution at the National Book Festival, some copies were distributed at the New Mexico State Library Lecture Series events in September and October 2006 in Santa Fe. The great thing about this catalog is that you don’t have to be there in order for people to get information about you and your books.


Information about the Co-op Project
The Co-op is putting together a catalog of New Mexico books and invites you to participate in this project. You supply the “page” in the form of 1,500 8-1/2 x 11 fliers (unfolded) and we will bind all the pages in the catalog. Your “page” can be printed front and back if you like and can contain whatever information you want to promote and sell your books. The cost will be $45 for each “page.” This covers the cost of collating, binding and shipping these catalogs to Washington DC; arrangements have been made to have the catalogs handed-out at the New Mexico Pavilion at the book festival. The catalog will also have a full-color cover and a listing of all authors/publishers in the catalog.
